Flight Paramedic - Starting at $20.92+ DOE
We’re hiring a Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.
Responsibilities- Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
- Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
- Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient transfer, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Maintain competency through ongoing training and clinical experiences.
- Keep documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures up to date.
- Be knowledgeable in the use and maintenance of all emergency equipment and supplies.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
- Participate as a medical flight team member.
- Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings, completing all documentation.
- Assist with pre-mission checklists and pilot support activities such as radio, navigation, and visual observations.
- Follow safety standards to ensure safety of all involved prior to liftoff.
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
- Fill open or vacant shifts as assigned by the Regional Director.
Required Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certifications required before flight status.
- Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 24 months of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- NREMT-P certification may be required in some areas.
