AVIR at Eagle Pass is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house rehabilitation program. This is an excellent opportunity for a rehabilitation professional who is passionate about clinical excellence, team leadership, resident outcomes, and building a strong interdisciplinary rehabilitation program.
Position ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department.
Provide leadership, direction, and support to PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, and other rehabilitation team members.
Ensure residents receive high-quality, individualized rehabilitation services.
Monitor clinical outcomes, productivity, documentation, and quality of care.
Collaborate with nursing, administration, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in care planning and ensure appropriate communication regarding residents' rehabilitation needs and progress.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of rehabilitation staff.
Promote compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and applicable professional standards.
Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and facility leadership.
Support census development and appropriate utilization of rehabilitation services.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of required clinical and departmental documentation.
Current Texas professional therapy license in good standing as applicable to the candidate's discipline.
Degree from an accredited PT, OT, or SLP program.
Previous rehabilitation leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage and motivate a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Strong understanding of clinical documentation, regulatory requirements, and rehabilitation best practices.
