Lead Our Rehabilitation Team!

AVIR at Eagle Pass is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house rehabilitation program. This is an excellent opportunity for a rehabilitation professional who is passionate about clinical excellence, team leadership, resident outcomes, and building a strong interdisciplinary rehabilitation program.

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department.

  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, and other rehabilitation team members.

  • Ensure residents receive high-quality, individualized rehabilitation services.

  • Monitor clinical outcomes, productivity, documentation, and quality of care.

  • Collaborate with nursing, administration, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Participate in care planning and ensure appropriate communication regarding residents' rehabilitation needs and progress.

  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of rehabilitation staff.

  • Promote compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and applicable professional standards.

  • Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and facility leadership.

  • Support census development and appropriate utilization of rehabilitation services.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of required clinical and departmental documentation.

Qualifications
  • Current Texas professional therapy license in good standing as applicable to the candidate's discipline.

  • Degree from an accredited PT, OT, or SLP program.

  • Previous rehabilitation leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation, regulatory requirements, and rehabilitation best practices.

  • Compassionate, collaborative, and resident-focused approach.
