Job Summary

As an HVAC Service Technician at MTech Mechanical, you will be a trusted expert in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC/R systems. You’ll ensure the equipment operates efficiently, provide exceptional service to clients, and mentor team members with your technical expertise. Essential Job Function
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems, including systems up to 100 tons cooling capacity, 10 million BTUs heating capacity, and boilers up to 150 HP
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment using schematics, drawings, and manufacturer handbooks to ensure efficiency and compliance with local codes
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, seasonal overhauls, and modifications to improve system reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure satisfaction by delivering high-quality work and effective communication
  • Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations for refrigerants, fuels, and hazardous materials
  • Complete all required documentation promptly, including work orders, safety checklists, and equipment registrations
  • Operate company vehicles responsibly and follow MTech policies
  • Provide mentorship and technical training to team members as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Experience:
    Completion of a 4-year HVAC apprenticeship or 4+ years of relevant field experience is required
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED required
  • Must meet MTech’s driving standards and willingness to travel to our various mountain region clients
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with expertise in HVAC service
  • Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to continued learning
  • Ability to work independently, respond to on-call needs, and adapt to dynamic project requirements
