Overview
Certified Foot and Nail Care Nurse Full Time Days — Trinity Health (Saint Alphonsus Health System). This role is full time, day shift, and travels to clinics in Nampa, Caldwell, and Fruitland. Clinics are open Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
Responsibilities- Works in a team environment to promote a positive experience in all aspects of patient care with compassion and kindness.
- Collaborates with Podiatry providers to develop and adapt individualized treatment plans for quality foot care services.
- Conducts assessments and screenings; provides education and health promotion related to advanced foot care, footwear, and general foot health maintenance.
- Assists with exams, diagnostics, and procedures; maintains a clean, safe, and well-stocked nursing area and patient care environment.
- Obtains cultures and pathology specimens; uses testing modalities (Monofilament, tuning fork, Doppler); describes sterilization and disinfection protocols; ensures cross-contamination prevention.
- Provides routine and preventive medical foot care education; follows up as needed; provides backup clinic nursing services as required.
- Administers medications (oral, rectal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, Z-Track; IV medications after course); allergens only under provider direction; documents care observations per professional standards.
- Assists providers with examinations, treatments, and emergency situations; participates in triage per protocol or provider instructions.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and adherence to OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and other regulatory mandates.
- Routes billing information as appropriate.
- RN license in the state of Idaho required prior to hire date.
- All colleagues must provide licensure or proof of application for Oregon RN license within 6 months of hire.
- Certification as a WOCN or CFCS (BSN required) or eligibility for certification within six months of hire.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire (AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network); ACLS/PALS as defined in SAHS Certification Crosswalk if already held.
- Valid Driver’s License with access to a reliable vehicle.
This position travels to different clinics depending on the day of the week. Clinic locations include Nampa, Caldwell, and Fruitland. Clinics operate Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
