Regional Sales Manager
- Mid West Region
This position will require extensive travel (greater than 50%) to states including: IL, IN, IA, KY, MI, MN, NE, ND, SC, WI

Job Purpose

Develop and execute profitable sales and marketing plans within the region to support company strategies and financial objectives. Develop, maintain, and oversee policies, procedures, and objectives for selling Rise Baking Company products for assigned accounts. Direct and manage food service brokers in assigned regional territory.

Essential Functions

o Identify and prioritize high-potential end users across the following segments: commercial, non-commercial, and convenience stores

o Develop and execute outreach strategies to drive new account openings

o Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, distributors, and large end users

o Drive product trial and convert sampling into recurring volume

o Work closely with distribution partners

o Educate distributor reps and support sell-through initiatives

o Manage pricing, placements, and inventory alignment

o Maintain strong communication between distributor partners and Rise

o Work closely with broker partners

o Educate broker reps and support sell-through initiatives

o Develop trimester objectives and KPIs to ensure growth

o Expand product placement within existing accounts

o Drive recurring volume and upsell opportunities

o Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurate CRM reporting

o Track territory KPIs and revenue performance

o Maintain organized CRM and account notes

o Provide strategic feedback on market trends and competitive landscape

o Provide regular territory updates, sales forecasts, and quarterly business reviews

• Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

• Bachelor’s degree in business preferred

• 5+ years of progressive and demonstrated sales experience in food service industry

• Ability to use experience, expertise, and judgment to effectively plan and implement initiatives

• Highly developed leadership, management, organizational, decision-making, negotiating, influencing, and consultative skills

• Strong attention to detail; strong analytical, strategic, creative, and critical thinking skills; strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability

• Excellent communication skills, including strong public speaking/presentation skills

• Proven ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work efficiently in a cross-functional environment

• Proven experience/success with special events and sales promotions

• Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment independently or with a team to deliver meaningful results on time

• Personable with a professional appearance

• Proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel

The salary range for this role is $124,698 to $150,872 annually. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
