Wesdome is a Canadian-focused gold producer with two high-grade underground assets, the Eagle River mine in Ontario and the Kiena mine in Québec. The Company’s primary goal is to responsibly leverage its operating platform and high-quality brownfield and greenfield exploration pipeline to build a growing value-driven gold producer.

The Eagle River Mine site has a tight-knit team where everyone knows each other and there is a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support. It is a hands‑on, fast paced environment where work feels impactful and you can see the results of your contributions quickly. There are many long-tenured employees and a lot of site pride.

The mine is located a short drive from Wawa, deep in the forest where it is scenic and quiet. It is a real ‘boots on the ground’ setting. Team members reside in a camp environment and typically work on rotations, depending on the position. The camp offers excellent food, a sauna/gym, recreational room and the opportunity to stay connected with family and friends.

Reporting to the Exploration Manager and Exploration Superintendent, the Senior Geologist – Surface Exploration will support the planning, coordination, and oversight of surface exploration programs across the Eagle River regional land package, including drilling, geophysical, and geochemical activities. The role will monitor active drilling, coordinate core handling and sampling activities, assist with drill planning using Leapfrog and QGIS, and provide core logging support as required.

With training and mentorship, the successful candidate will progressively contribute to geological interpretation, target generation, and modelling, including the development and updating of geological and structural models. As a key support to the Exploration Manager, this role requires strong leadership, initiative, technical competence, organization, attention to detail, self-reliance, and a strong commitment to safety.

You are an experienced and motivated geologist with a strong background in surface exploration and a passion for delivering high-quality exploration programs. You bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership, organization, and sound judgment, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a strong focus on data quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Take ownership of day-to-day execution of surface drill programs, ensuring alignment with approved plans, data quality standards, and production priorities.
• Meet with drill supervisors every morning, to establish and maintain communication lines.
• In collaboration with the exploration manager and exploration superintendent, generate and constantly review exploration targets.
• In collaboration with the exploration manager and exploration superintendent, ensure safe execution of drill programs to deliver corporate strategy.
• Contribute to the design and optimization of drill programs in collaboration with the exploration manager and exploration superintendent.
• Supervise core logging (lithology, alteration, structure, mineralization) to maintain level of accuracy, and quality, in datasets.
