Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised, and detail-oriented Finance & Administration Officer to oversee the nursery's financial administration and business support functions. This is a varied and fast-paced role that combines finance, payroll, compliance, funding administration, and general office management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the nursery, including billing, payroll administration, reconciliations, funding claims, and maintaining accurate financial records. In addition, you will support the wider management team by coordinating regulatory documentation, tender applications, professional body registrations, and ensuring all administrative systems are maintained to a high standard.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, financial accuracy, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across several nursery sites.

Key Responsibilities :
Finance & Payroll

• Manage nursery billing, invoicing, and fee collection.
• Process childcare funding claims and ensure all funding portal submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Prepare payroll information, maintain payroll records, and liaise with external payroll providers where applicable.
