Asset / Stock Condition Surveyor

SALARY: £50,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid / Ealing, West London with regular travel (approximately 90% field based)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Asset / Stock Condition Surveyor to join an organisation delivering safe, sustainable and well‑maintained homes.

As an Asset / Stock Condition Surveyor you will carry out stock condition surveys, HHSRS assessments and Energy Performance Certificates, collecting accurate property data to support investment planning, asset management and energy improvement strategies.

The Asset / Stock Condition Surveyor will work closely with customers, stakeholders and internal teams, representing the organisation professionally while maintaining high standards of customer care, equality, health and safety, and compliance.

• Carry out detailed stock condition surveys to assess component age, physical condition and remaining life.
• Identify hazards and support compliance with housing health and safety standards through HHSRS assessments.
• Produce Energy Performance Certificates in line with statutory requirements and organisational objectives.
• Collect, review and analyse accurate property data to inform short, medium and long‑term investment programmes.
• Contribute to one‑year, five‑year and thirty‑year investment planning and energy efficiency strategies.
• Represent the organisation positively and deliver a high standard of customer care.
• Maintain awareness of equality, health and safety, building safety and property management requirements.
• Demonstrate a caring, collaborative and forward‑thinking approach in every interaction.

• Degree‑level education or equivalent, a relevant professional qualification in building, asset management or a related discipline, or relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction types and surveying methodologies.
• In‑depth understanding of Decent Homes legislation and HHSRS.
• Working knowledge of housing law, leaseholder consultation, building safety and property management legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Highly organised and detail‑focused, able to manage complex portfolios and meet deadlines.
• Confident using housing and asset management systems, mobile technology and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car for travel across London, Staines, Winchester and Oxford.

• Membership of MCIOB, RICS or a similar professional body.
• Qualification as a Domestic Energy Assessor or willingness to train.
