Location: Ealing, West London
Contract: Permanent, full time
Start: January 2026

A specialist SEMH school in West London is looking for a Primary Teacher to work with pupils whose social, emotional and mental health needs require a more personalised and structured approach to learning. This full‑time, permanent position is within a well‑established SEMH provision. Teaching is supported by small class sizes, consistent routines and a multidisciplinary staff team. The school places a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing, clarity of expectations and sustainable working practices.

The

role

The successful candidate will teach primary‑aged pupils within an SEMH setting, balancing academic learning with emotional and behavioural support. Teachers are not expected to work in isolation and are supported by experienced colleagues, pastoral staff and specialist professionals.

Key aspects of the role include:
  • Delivering a personalised primary curriculum adapted to individual needs
  • Supporting emotional regulation and re‑engagement with learning
  • Maintaining calm, predictable routines and clear boundaries
  • Working closely with support staff and therapeutic services
  • Building trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe and understood
The person

This role will suit a Primary Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent
  • Has experience with SEMH, behaviour support or complex needs, or a strong interest in this area

  • Is resilient, reflective and able to work collaboratively
