Integrity Education Solutions are supporting a unique independent Special Educational Needs (SEN) group in the launch of a specialist primary school in West London, providing therapeutic, trauma-informed education for children aged 7–12 years with neurodiverse and SEMH learning needs.

They are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Headteacher to lead this new provision. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for shaping the vision, curriculum, and culture of a school serving pupils who have experienced significant disruption to their education, including multiple exclusions, managed moves, or extended absence from school. Many pupils are also supported via early help, child-in-need, or child protection statutory plans.

The Headteacher will develop a robust, engaging, and tailored curriculum, support staff to differentiate learning, and create a therapeutic environment where vulnerable pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for successful transition into the next stage of education.

Key Responsibilities

* Support Neurodiverse Children:
Provide expertise in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and/or SEMH needs, understanding the impact on learning, communication, and behaviour

* Manage Challenging Behaviour:
Lead by example in behaviour management, using de-escalation strategies and promoting emotional regulation

* Role Model Best Teaching Practice:
Demonstrate excellence in teaching and model best practice to staff, ensuring consistently high standards across the school

* Promote Resilience and Commitment:
Maintain a positive, persevering approach, fostering a culture where no child is given up on

* Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the school vision, curriculum, and operational procedures tailored to vulnerable pupils’ needs

* Staff Development:
Mentor, coach, and support colleagues in delivering differentiated teaching and therapeutic interventions

* Multi-Agency Working:
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, social care, CAMHS, and other external agencies to ensure holistic pupil support

Key Experience &

Qualifications:

* Experience Supporting Neurodiverse Children:
Extensive experience working with pupils with Autism (ASC) and/or SEMH needs, understanding how these challenges affect learning, communication, and behaviour

* Behaviour Management Expertise:
Proven success in managing challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques and promoting emotional regulation

* Outstanding Teaching Record:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, consistently modelling best practice, and supporting staff in professional development

* Resilient Leadership:
Ability to thrive in complex, challenging environments, with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children

* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and statutory education frameworks
