General Teaching Assistant – Secondary (KS3–KS5 & SEN Support)

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a friendly and inclusive school in Ealing, West London, supporting students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and student wellbeing, whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to gain valuable school-based experience. You’ll be working closely with teachers and support staff to help create a positive, structured and engaging learning environment where every student can succeed.

The Role

As a General Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students in the classroom, in small groups or on a one-to-one basis

• Assisting with lessons to help students stay engaged and on task

• Providing additional support to students with SEN and varying learning needs

• Helping to manage behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes

• Supporting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)

• Is patient, adaptable and confident supporting a range of abilities

• Has a genuine interest in education and inclusive learning

• Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team

• Is reliable, organised and enthusiastic
