A welcoming mainstream primary school in Ealing is seeking an enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. The role involves supporting learning across the classroom, assisting teachers with daily activities, and helping all pupils access the curriculum effectively. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, encouraging independence, and supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils.
The post-holder will also help prepare resources, assist with group activities, and ensure the classroom remains a safe, calm, and engaging learning environment.

The Role
As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support teachers in delivering learning activities and classroom management
• Assist pupils with learning tasks and promote engagement and participation
• Help adapt activities to meet individual learning needs where required
• Support social development and positive behaviour across the class
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure smooth classroom operations
• Help maintain a safe, calm, and welcoming learning environment
About You
• Previous experience working in a school or classroom setting in the UK.
• Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Early Years, or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or Diploma)
• Patient, positive, and adaptable with a supportive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting children’s learning
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
