The role of Head of English represents an exciting opportunity for an innovative, reflective teacher and skilled curriculum leader ready to take on departmental leadership within a highly successful team. The successful candidate will join a stable, forward‑thinking department with a strong track record of exceptional outcomes at a national level.

The Head of English will ensure that the quality of teaching and learning across the department remains consistently high and will play a key role in further developing a culture of collaboration and the sharing of best practice.

The post‑holder will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to lead and deliver high‑quality professional development in teaching and learning. The role will suit an individual who is motivated by the opportunity to lead, inspire and manage others in pursuit of shared goals and continued departmental excellence.

The successful candidate will have:
