Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and qualified A-Level Maths Tutor to support a Year 13 student in their preparation for A-Level exams. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in teaching A-Level Maths. You will work closely with the student to help them develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, refine their problem-solving skills, and prepare effectively for exams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions focused on A-Level Mathematics, including Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, and Statistics.

* Ensure that the student gains a thorough understanding of key mathematical concepts and improves their analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques.

* Provide expert guidance on exam techniques, including time management and strategies for approaching different types of exam questions.

* Regularly assess the student’s progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust tutoring methods as needed.

* Provide practice papers and past exam questions to familiarize the student with exam formats and build their confidence.

* Offer constructive feedback and develop personalized study plans to help the student achieve their academic goals.

* Motivate and encourage the student, ensuring that they remain confident and focused throughout the tutoring sessions.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role.

* In-depth knowledge of the A-Level Maths syllabus, including Pure Maths, Mechanics, and Statistics.

* Proven experience teaching or tutoring A-Level Maths (preferably at Year 13 level).

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.

* Ability to motivate and inspire students, building their confidence in their abilities.

* Experience in preparing students for exams and familiar with the exam boards (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR).

* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Preferred Qualifications:

* A degree in Mathematics or a related field.

* Previous experience tutoring A-Level Maths students.

* Familiarity with online tutoring platforms (if applicable).

* A strong track record of helping students improve their academic performance
