About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised learning strategies
Support children both in the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings
Use communication tools such as Makaton, PECS, visual timetables, sensory resources, and other SEN strategies to support learning and engagement
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Help create a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

Warm, patient, and compassionate
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Confident using, or keen to learn, Makaton, PECS, and other SEN tools and approaches
A great team player with strong communication skills
Resilient, adaptable, and proactive
Experienced in SEN support (desirable, but not essential – full training provided)
