Are you a passionate primary school teacher looking for a role with no expectation of extra work outside your contracted hours? Would you like to step away from regular staff meetings, assessments and moderation, and instead focus on delivering the computing curriculum your way?

Responsibilities
  • Advise schools on the computing curriculum and assess their needs.
  • Deliver engaging computing lessons across KS1 and KS2.
  • Run INSET days, staff training, and support after-school ICT clubs (within agreed hours).
  • Produce weekly updates for school leadership and your turn IT on manager.
  • Act as the main point of contact between your schools and turn IT on.
  • Promote awareness of our full range of services and ensure excellent customer service.
Qualifications

  • Has at least 2 years of experience teaching the Primary curriculum.
  • Has experience delivering computing or ICT to KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • Is confident using technology and has a passion for computing.
  • Can plan and organise their own lessons and timetable independently.

  • Is suitable to work with children and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
  • Has strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Is willing to complete online training before starting (paid for by turn IT on).
  • Knowledge of primary programming tools (e.g. Scratch) is desirable, but not essential.
What We Offer
  • A salary of £30,000 - £35,000 FTE, depending on experience.
  • Pension scheme, eye care vouchers, and Employee Assistance Programme.
  • A predictable, year-round income (salary paid over 12 months).
