SEND Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to support pupils with special educational needs in a school setting. The role involves working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure students receive tailored support that enables them to access the curriculum and make progress.

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
• Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
• Support pupils with classroom activities, ensuring they remain engaged and on task.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of individual pupils.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and report concerns to the class teacher or SENCO.
• Support pupils with personal care needs if required.

• Experience working with children with SEND (school or care setting).
• Strong communication and behaviour‑management skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
