KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Harrow, North West London
£110 - £125 per day | September Start | Full-Time | Long-Term
About the Role
Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming primary school in Harrow to recruit a dedicated KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a September start.
The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder while also delivering small group interventions and speech and language support across Key Stage
1. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Delivering small group interventions to support academic progress
Running speech and language activities under the guidance of the school's SEN team
Supporting communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Encouraging independence and engagement in learning
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals where appropriate
Monitoring pupil progress and adapting support to meet individual needs

The Ideal Candidate

Has experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other additional needs

Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential
