Job Title:

Skills Coach – Supported Internship Programme (Full time 37.5hrs per week) – location:
Ealing.

As a Skills Coach, you will support learners with mild to moderate learning disabilities in the community classroom of our supported internship programme, ensuring they achieve the skills they need to progress to paid employment. Your key duties include:

• Be accountable for learner progression and ensuring the young adults achieve the required skills.
• Deliver support in various ways: 1‑1 job coaching, working with learners in the classroom to develop employability skills, and embedding English and Maths learning in the workplace.
• Support people to learn the skills they need to go on and achieve sustained paid employment.

Essential skills and experience for the Skills Coach role:

• Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Experience of delivering against targets.
• Knowledge of safe working practices.
• Knowledge of sector.
• A‑C/9‑4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent).
• Good ICT skills.
• Effective communication.
• Effective record keeping and reporting.

All candidates offered an interview will need to provide evidence of their GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at interview stage.
