A warm, welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Ealing is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school has opportunities available within both Nursery and Year 2, supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them to access learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN within either Nursery or Year 2

• Support pupils with their learning, communication, social development and behaviour

• Deliver targeted interventions to support individual learning needs and close gaps in learning

• Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs

• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour

• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning

• Support pupils with classroom routines, transitions and activities

• Work closely with class teachers, the SENCo and wider school team

• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCo

• Support social interaction and communication

• Provide personal care and toileting support where required

• Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment

About You

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a UK school or nursery setting is essential

• Experience working with pupils with additional needs in either Early Years or Primary settings

• Confident working on a 1:1 basis and delivering targeted interventions

• Patient, calm and nurturing with a strong understanding of inclusive practice

• Comfortable supporting with personal care where required

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable, flexible and committed to supporting children to reach their full potential

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

• This is not a training role – previous school or nursery experience is essential
