Inspire, support and empower young people

Are you a passionate and engaging teacher with a strong interest in PSHE, Health and Wellbeing?

Would you like to work in a specialist SEMH school in Ealing, where you can build meaningful relationships with young people and make a genuine difference to their lives?

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Secondary PSHE / Health Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who understands that successful education is about more than academic achievement. Our pupils may have experienced challenges within mainstream education and require a nurturing, consistent and individualised approach to learning.

The role

As our PSHE / Health Teacher, you will deliver engaging and relevant lessons that help pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to navigate life beyond school.

  • Physical and mental health and wellbeing
  • Relationships and sex education
  • Emotional wellbeing and resilience
  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Personal safety
  • Managing emotions and stress
  • Online safety and responsible digital citizenship
  • Drugs, alcohol and other health-related issues
  • Careers, aspirations and preparation for adulthood
  • Rights, responsibilities and life in modern Britain

You will adapt your teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils, using creative, practical and discussion-based approaches to make learning meaningful and accessible.

About you
  • Qualified to teach in the UK, with QTS or equivalent.
  • Experienced in teaching secondary-aged pupils.
  • Passionate about PSHE, health, wellbeing and personal development.
  • Able to build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Calm, patient, consistent and resilient.
  • Confident managing behaviour through positive relationships and clear boundaries.
  • Creative and flexible in your approach to teaching.
  • Able to adapt lessons for pupils with a range of additional and emotional needs.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people.
  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
  • Experience of working within an SEMH, SEN, alternative provision or specialist setting would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers who have a genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
Why join us?

Working in our school offers the opportunity to make a real difference to pupils who may have struggled to thrive in a mainstream environment.

You will benefit from:
  • A supportive and nurturing school environment.
  • Small classes and the opportunity to provide personalised support.
  • A strong focus on relationships, wellbeing and personal development.
  • Support from an experienced multidisciplinary team.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • The opportunity to develop your expertise in SEMH and specialist education.
  • A role where your teaching can have a direct and lasting impact on young people's lives.
A rewarding opportunity

If you are an enthusiastic PSHE / Health Teacher who wants to help young people develop not only academically, but also personally and emotionally, we would love to hear from you.

Join us in creating a safe, supportive and ambitious learning environment where every young person is encouraged to recognise their strengths, develop their confidence and prepare for a positive future.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be subject to appropriate safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
