Ealing is currently looking for Senior Social Workers to join their Assessment team, paying up to £39 per hour!
- Location: Ealing
- Pay Rate: £39 per hour
- Contract: Full-time, Temporary (Ongoing)
- Working Pattern: 35 Hours per week
Ealing Children's Services are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Senior Social Worker / Specialist Social Worker to join their Assessment and Intervention Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to manage complex cases, deliver high-quality interventions, and support positive outcomes for children and families.
As part of a fast-paced frontline service, you will undertake assessments, lead safeguarding interventions, and work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to ensure children are protected and supported to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of complex and high-risk Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) cases.
- Undertake statutory assessments and lead Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, child protection conferences, reviews, and other statutory meetings.
- Represent Ealing Council in court proceedings and provide professional evidence where required.
- Support less experienced colleagues and contribute to service development, best practice, and continuous improvement within the Assessment and Intervention Team.
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience working within Children's Assessment, Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Intervention Services.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and court processes.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, communication, and report‑writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a busy, multi‑agency environment.
