Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for your next rewarding locum opportunity?

Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Families First – Initial Support Team within a well-established Local Authority. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to children and families while benefiting from flexible hybrid working and a competitive hourly rate.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of children and families at the front door of Children's Services, completing assessments, identifying levels of need and risk, and ensuring children receive the right support at the earliest opportunity.

Working closely with partner agencies, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes through timely, strengths-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities

* Undertake Child & Family Assessments.

* Complete Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries where required.

* Manage a complex caseload effectively.

* Work in partnership with schools, health professionals, police and other agencies.

* Prepare clear, high-quality reports and assessments.

* Ensure children and families receive timely and appropriate support.

* Maintain accurate case recordings and comply with statutory timescales.

Requirements

βœ” Qualified Social Worker
βœ” Registered with Social Work England

βœ” Experience with in Children's Front Door, Assessment or Initial Response Teams
βœ” Strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and safeguarding legislation
βœ” Excellent assessment and risk management skills
