Temporary Accommodation Compliance Officer

Location: Ealing, West London, W5 2HL
(Hybrid Working - 3 days per week in the office)
Rate: 23.05 PAYE / 30.09 Umbrella
Contract: 3 months (possibility of extension)

Hours: Mon-Fri, 35 hours
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Temporary Accommodation Compliance Officer to join our Housing team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the effective management and compliance of temporary accommodation services, supporting residents and helping to maintain high standards across the accommodation portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring accommodation compliance, supporting tenancy management functions, liaising with landlords and accommodation providers, and ensuring that all accommodation is managed in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor a portfolio of temporary accommodation properties.
  • Ensure accommodation providers comply with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the management of tenancy issues and the ending of tenancies through the appropriate legal processes.
  • Conduct property inspections and monitor accommodation standards.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments, landlords, housing providers and external agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports on compliance and performance.
  • Assist in achieving positive housing outcomes for residents placed in temporary accommodation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience of working within a homelessness and/or housing environment.
  • Experience of ending tenancies through the appropriate legal process.
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of accommodation.
  • Strong organisational and case management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
