Position Highlights Provide high-quality medical care to patients in a community hospital setting Diagnose, prevent, and treat diseases, defects, or injuries; prescribe treatments as appropriate Render care in accordance with accepted professional standards without regard to ability to pay, race, creed, or other protected factors Maintain accurate, legible, and timely medical records using CPT and ICD coding Participate in after-hours call coverage on a rotating basis Comply with standards of medical practice, managed care requirements, and Joint Commission standards Engage in continuing medical education to maintain certification and licensure Participate in non-revenue generating activities, including committees, community outreach, teaching, or research Support quality assurance, utilization management, patient education, and patient satisfaction programs Assist the organization in obtaining and maintaining licenses, permits, and accreditation standards
