Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Join U.S. Renal Care as a Dialysis Patient Care Technician and help deliver high‑quality dialysis treatment to patients with renal failure. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse, you will perform delegated patient care activities, monitor and support patients during dialysis, and maintain dialysis equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care. Gather patient statistics before and after treatment, initiate and terminate dialysis, monitor patients during treatment, and collect blood samples per physician orders.
  • Technician Duties. Prepare hemodialysis machines, clean and disinfect them after treatment, perform safety checks, and log results for quality control.
  • Safety and Quality. Use personal protective equipment, adhere to company policies and state/federal regulations, participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
Key Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
  • Previous experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
  • Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
Additional Requirements
  • Completion of U.S. Renal Care training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire (or as required by state).
  • Patient Care Technician certification obtained through an accredited program within 18 months of hire and maintained in good standing.
