JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Preconstruction Manager in Greenville, SC
. Our client is a leading commercial construction company specializing in commercial construction projects. The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for overseeing cost control, project/service management, and overall operations within the HVAC Design marketplace. Our depth of client’s expertise ranges from the grocery industry to big box retail as well as both state and federal government projects in military and healthcare.
- Lead the preparation and submission of competitive proposals and bids.
- Oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive RFPs, cost estimates, schedules, and project plans.
- Collaborate with the project management and design teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-construction to construction.
- Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.
- Create measurable goals for the team pertaining to pipeline, backlog, win rate, margin, bid quality, etc.
Education:
- +5 years experience in mechanical construction management
- Strong understanding of preconstruction processes, cost estimating, and project management (not required, highly desired).
- Exceptional leadership and team‑building skills.
- Tenacious, results‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strategic approach to business growth.
