We have an immediate need for a Preconstruction Manager in our Mechanical Division based out of our Easley, SC office location. The ideal candidate will have extensive field experience and a proven track record of successfully managing similar duties. This role requires excellent planning, scheduling, and management skills to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Do- Responsible for leading a team of 5+ associates with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities while overseeing the pre-construction phase of our projects.
- Prioritizing RFPs and open bid opportunities while collaborating with Construction Directors to present competitive information and estimates to clients.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the commercial construction sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation and submission of competitive proposals and bids.
- Oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive RFPs, cost estimates, schedules, and project plans.
- Collaborate with the project management and design teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-construction to construction.
- Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.
- Create measurable goals for the team pertaining to pipeline, backlog, win rate, margin, bid quality, etc.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Monitor and analyze the competition to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.

- +5 years experience in mechanical construction management.
- Strong understanding of preconstruction processes, cost estimating, and project management (not required, highly desired).
- Exceptional leadership and team‑building skills.
- Tenacious, results‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strategic approach to business growth.
