Anesthetist - Easley

Responds to the anesthetic needs of patients and coordinates their care with other perioperative personnel during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Administers anesthesia services to patients for medical and surgical procedures relevant to the facility under the medical direction of staff anesthesiologist.

Accountabilities include:

• Formulates anesthetic plan with anesthesiologist and discusses plan and risks with the patient.
• Performs special line placement procedures.
• Documents pre-anesthesia assessment, intraoperative anesthesia care, and controlled substance disbursement.
• Maintains age-specific competence in anesthesia technical skills.
• Maintains and acquires new knowledge of anesthesia pharmacology and modalities.
• Provides a safe practice environment by minimizing risk of infection, physical injury, and equipment failure.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's Degree
  - Nurse Anesthesia
• No Previous Experience Required.
• Required Certifications/Registrations/Licensure: SC RN
  - Advance Practice, CRNA
  - Nurse Anesthetist
