American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital assignment requiring SC or compact RN licensure and EPIC EMR experience.

• MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend coverage required, subject to unit needs
• Floating to other qualified units or facilities required based on census needs
• Uses EPIC EMR system and Omnicell medication system
• Patient ratio of 1:5

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and blood product administration required
• Experience in Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, or Cardiac Tele preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Provide nursing care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible, with reduced rates for 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift candidates in this specialty must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus, with reduced rates for 50-99.9 miles and ineligibility under 50 miles
• Travelers completing a third consecutive 13-week contract or reaching 39 weeks must begin conversion to employee status or take a minimum six-month separation before returning as a traveler
