About NACE: We are a non‑profit food shelf established in 1980 to provide food and clothing
for persons in Anoka County. Approximately 9,300 families are served each year.

Reporting to this position: NACE staff and volunteers

The Operations Manager has responsibility for the North Anoka
County Emergency Food Shelf and Clothing Closet (NACE) distribution operations: ensuring the
safe and sanitary receiving and storage of all products, managing the smooth and efficient
distribution of food, keeping accurate and timely records, maintaining good relationships with
clients, donors, rescue partners and volunteers, supervising operations staff, managing
equipment, fleet, and facility maintenance. As part of the NACE team, the Operations Manager
position ensures an excellent experience for all interaction in support of the mission of NACE.
This is accomplished by providing operational support to volunteers during volunteer shifts.
Imperative to this role is a positive attitude, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the
ability to interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. The Operations Manager
position may be required to complete other tasks as assigned by the NACE Board of Directors in
support of NACE mission.

• College degree
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the oversight and management of a volunteer program
• 3 to 5 years of customer service experience
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Food safety knowledge or willingness to get certified in food safety
• Possession of a current and valid Minnesota driver license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check.
