This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in‑office days per week.
The Community and State Training Team is currently recruiting a Trainer to support the United Healthcare Community and State Plan of New Jersey.
Primary Responsibilities- Assess customer needs and identify solutions for unique challenges
- Handle moderately complex issues and analysis with minimal supervision
- Translate concepts into practical applications
- Explain complex topics clearly to others
- Coach and support less experienced team members
- Create and maintain training materials and resources
- Deliver effective adult learning experiences
- Manage the learning environment and improve training outcomes
- Build strong relationships across teams and leadership levels
- Work with stakeholders to improve training strategies
- Attend senior‑level or state‑requested meetings as needed
- Provide backup support to training team members
- Maintain professionalism during challenging facilitation scenarios
- Contribute to projects that support the success of the United Healthcare Community and State
- Current unrestricted RN or Social Work license in the state of residence
- 3+ years of clinical experience (i.e., care coordination, service coordination, case management, etc.)
- Experience with adult learning/training, virtual training, instructional design and/or training project management (i.e., performing presentations in person and/or through virtual platforms, classroom training experience, virtual Teams training experience)
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid
- Knowledge of managed care
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), and Share Point
- Proven facilitation and presentation skills with the capability to engage, inspire and teach adult learners at all levels
- Proven ability to effectively deal with ambiguity – can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty in a manner consistent with United Health Group’s core values
- Proven communicator with skills to flex to different audiences at different levels of understanding and seniority
- Proven ability to develop and present effectively to a variety of audiences
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Must live within commutable distance to the East Brunswick, New Jersey Office
- Experience with electronic care management applications (Community Care, ICUE)
- Experience in project management
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot
- Proven excellent communication, planning, and time management skills
- Proven ability to focus and work effectively in a complex and change‑oriented work environment
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment
- New Jersey Choice Certified
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full‑time employment.
