Substance Use Counselor – East Brunswick, NJ

Location:

East Brunswick, NJ
Compensation: $52,000 – $55,000 per year with a $2,500 Sign‑On Bonus.

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling for the OP/IOP adolescent program.
• Conduct substance use and mental health assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
• Identify and implement community‑based prevention education.
• Serve as a member of the treatment team for adolescents with substance use and co‑occurring disorders.
• Maintain accurate records and provide case management under clinical supervision by an LCADC or CCS.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in the substance abuse field.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
• Professional licensure (CADC, LCADC) or qualification for licensing is required.
• Strong foundation in substance abuse knowledge and ASAM criteria.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
