We are seeking a highly skilled Service Now Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Consultant to support our enterprise Service Now initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Service Now’s SPM suite, including Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Demand Management, Resource Management, Agile/SAFe, and Financial Planning.

This role requires deep functional expertise, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, PMOs, and technical teams to translate requirements into effective SPM solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Implementation & Configuration

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Service Now SPM modules, including:
• Demand Management
• Resource Management
• Agile Development / SAFe
• Configure workflows, forms, UI policies, business rules, and reporting dashboards within the SPM suite.
• Integrate SPM with other Service Now modules (ITSM, CMDB, ITBM, HRSD, etc.) and external systems.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with PMO leadership, project managers, resource managers, finance teams, and business owners.
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Provide strategic guidance on SPM best practices and governance.

Process Optimization

• Define and optimize processes for:
• Project intake and prioritization
• Portfolio planning and budgeting
• Resource forecasting and allocation
• Road mapping and strategic alignment
• Support enterprise adoption of SAFe or Agile frameworks within SPM.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop dashboards and performance analytics for:
• Demand pipeline
• OKRs and strategic KPIs

5. Support & Training

• Troubleshoot SPM-related issues, defects, and system performance concerns.
• Provide training, documentation, and user enablement for business teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10+ years of overall IT experience, with 3–5+ years of hands-on Service Now SPM/ITBM experience.
• Deep expertise in SPM modules and workflows.
• Strong understanding of portfolio governance, financial management, Agile delivery, and enterprise PMO processes.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale SPM implementations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership.
• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in PPM/SPM preferred.
• Experience integrating SPM with other Service Now and non-Service Now systems.
