Job Overview
Linde is looking for qualified applicants to fill the role of Production Technician for the hydrogen and air separation processes. The Production Technician must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self‑motivated, dependable, and work within a team environment. This position is a 12‑hour shift position, alternating nights and days, and will report to the Plant Manager.
Primary Responsibilities- Work 12‑hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Start and shut down equipment and processes.
- Monitor and adjust equipment and plant process operating parameters.
- Perform valve line‑ups correctly.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance work including lock‑out/tag‑out.
- Permit maintenance work safely and correctly.
- Use professional judgment to operate the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times.
- Develop procedures and train new employees.
- Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers when required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and recognize when to elevate matters to more experienced specialists.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years Production Operations experience or Associate’s Degree with prior internship in Plant Operations.
- Strong interest in and experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of computers and typical applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with a variety of hand tools, meters, instrument calibration equipment, etc.
- Knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors.
- Able to climb ladders and steps, lift up to 50 lbs., and work at heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
