Employee in this position provides support for the Building Construction Technology Program. This employee reports to the program chair to ensure the efficient operation of lab classes.

$15.00 hourly

• Operates and repairs construction equipment
• Signs out tools and equipment to instructors and students
• Maintains inventory levels of supplies and informs the Department Chairs of needs
• Utilizes drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Assists instructors with lab assignments
• Maintains a clean and organized lab
• Operates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results
• Communicates effectively with clients and project teams
• Adheres to safety practices and policies to ensure personal safety and the safety of others

• One (1) year building construction experience preferred
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required
• External (or task‑related) certifications based on region and state may be required
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills
• Ability to read and understand work plans
• Must be able to work off‑shift and overtime as needed
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must show credentials

• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to make discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights
