Role SummaryThe Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining plant equipment in a state of readiness. This person performs maintenance inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment and systems, preparing daily/weekly department operating reports and working overtime as required.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment following manufacturer recommended service intervals and company procedures; maintain an inventory of required replacement parts.
- Inspect condition and operation of plant equipment, perform necessary repairs and adjustments, and report required repairs or findings to supervisor.
- Perform required emergency repairs on production equipment to address plant breakdowns.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures, completing all required paperwork timely.
- Routinely walk the plant to inspect mechanical equipment and parts, systems in need of repair or replacement.
- Maintain crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, pumps, screens and screen bearings.
- Conduct a job safety analysis before undertaking any diagnosis or repair, identifying and isolating hazards such as energy (lock‑out, tag‑out), working at heights, and confined spaces.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments; promote a culture of safety.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required
Work Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, general plant maintenance experience; hands‑on skills in changing screens, welding, cutting torch, wrenching (hand tools).
- Operation of skid steer and man lift is a plus.
- Proficiency in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Welding/fabrication skills highly desirable.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Basic computer skills.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper usage of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven in the respirator seal area to pass fit tests.
