WHAT YOU’LL DO:MGT is seeking an experienced education leader to serve as a Lead Instructional Coach on the MGT School Turnaround team in East Cleveland, Ohio. This role provides instructional leadership, coaching, data analysis, progress monitoring, and professional development across ELA and Math (K-12) content areas.
The Lead Instructional Coach will support both teachers and school-based instructional coaches, strengthening instructional practices, aligning curriculum and pedagogy to standards, and driving measurable improvements in student learning outcomes. This individual will serve as a strategic thought partner to school and district leaders, modeling high-quality instruction and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct coaching and leadership to teachers and instructional coaches across multiple content areas.
- Build deep understanding of state standards and student performance expectations at school sites.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of scaffolded, standards-aligned instruction.
- Lead analysis of student data to inform instructional planning and targeted interventions.
- Model high-impact instructional practices and provide actionable feedback to educators.
- Support the development of instructional plans, lesson pacing, and differentiated learning strategies.
- Lead strategic support efforts through modeling small-group instruction and direct student support as needed.
- Design and deliver high-quality professional development for teachers, coaches, and leaders.
- Monitor progress of instructional focus areas and positive effects on student outcomes.
- Collaborate with district leaders to align instructional priorities and monitor progress.
- Complete weekly and monthly progress summaries and contribute to the refinement of MGT’s school improvement processes and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required;
Master’s or Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction, or Literacy preferred. - Strong instructional and coaching expertise across ELA and Math content areas.
- Five (5) or more years of demonstrated success coaching teachers and/or instructional coaches in K-12 settings.
- Proven record of improving instructional practice and student outcomes through coaching and leadership.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated skill in data-driven instruction, adult learning facilitation, and instructional leadership.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site in East Cleveland, Ohio, and travel to schools 4-5 days per week.
