Morning and Afternoon Shuttle Bus Driver Job East Cleveland area,Ohio USA,Transportation

REPORTS TO: East Cleveland Principal
STATUS: Hourly, Paid Monthly
Purpose: Bus Drivers are responsible for transporting students safely from one campus to the other.
Basic Requirements:

Possess a valid driver’s license

Prior experience as a bus driver preferred

Clean driving record with no accidents or violations

Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations

Spiritual Requirements:

Lifestyle that exhibits a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

Demonstrate in speech, actions, and attitude a consistent walk with Jesus Christ as outlined in the GCS Statement of Faith and Christian Beliefs regarding marriage, gender, and sexuality.

Be available always to be used by the Holy Spirit for the spiritual encouragement of students.

Share the Christian faith with students.

Read and study the Bible on a personal basis throughout the year.

Be faithfully involved in a local church.

Professional Requirements:

Operate a bus safely and efficiently to transport students

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

Inspect the bus before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition

Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus

Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior

Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems to the appropriate authorities

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, talk and hear. One must use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and/or arms. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and smell.

Must be able, without difficulty or restrictions, to scan the roadway and mirrors for potential hazards and problems.

One’s vision should include close, distant, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus that pertain to driving and traffic control. Vision must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations vision standards.

Must be able to exercise good judgment and react quickly in any adverse situation.
