Seasonal position, multiple shifts between 03:00-23:00, 7 days a week including holidays

A Lead is a subject matter expert who coaches, motivates, and guides operational work performed by their peers. Leads are responsible for monitoring and reporting any extraordinary performance or deviations from operational standards. The primary role of the aircraft deicer is to remove ice from the aircraft. The individual in this position inspects the aircraft for ice and for remaining frozen contamination after the deicing has been performed.
He or she sprays the airplane down with the deicing fluid, which is usually made of glycol.
- Ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-icing operation and make sure all company policies and procedures are being followed correctly
- Uphold and follow the duties related to de/anti-icing aircraft according to procedures for both airlines and IDS (including inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination)
- Participate in the pre-planning for the de/anti-ice event (perform checks on equipment, trucks, servicing equipment with fuel or glycol)
- Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and log books; that all maintenance issues have been logged and reported to maintenance, and proper shutdown procedures for the equipment are followed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Intermediate computer skills
- Maintain and treat all information as confidential
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
- Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
- Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training
- Successful completion of the airport badging or background check process required for this location

Physical Demands- Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl, climb ladders, and/or work at heights above 15 ft to perform role, repairs, and/or inspections
- Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms;
- Able to speak and hear efficiently
