Event Coordinator

Iris Comm Lab We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in planning, executing, and overseeing a diverse range of events, from corporate meetings and conferences to social gatherings and community activities. Your creative flair, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure will be key to ensuring the success of each event.

Pay Range: $850- $1150 per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute a variety of events including weddings, corporate meetings, and community festivals.
  • Develop detailed project plans outlining timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for each event.
  • Identify and negotiate contracts with catering services, venues, and other vendors to ensure quality services are provided.
  • Coordinate logistics including transportation, equipment rental, decorations, and audiovisual needs for events.
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are in place for a successful event.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or changes throughout the planning process.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination, preferably 2+ years.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools, as well as MS Office.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
