HVAC Business Development Manager

Location:

East Grinstead, West Sussex
Salary:
Up to £70,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Business Development Manager to join a growing building services company based in East Grinstead
. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with experience in HVAC, commercial gas or building services to play a key role in driving business growth.

The company specialises in maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning services across commercial gas systems, burners, air conditioning and wider building services. Working with a diverse client base including leisure centres, schools, residential developments and manufacturing facilities

The Role

As Business Development Manager
, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships and supporting the company’s continued growth within the HVAC and building services market
.

You will work closely with internal service and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients while ensuring the highest levels of service and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the HVAC and building services sector.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients
    .
  • Generate leads through networking, market research and industry contacts
    .
  • Prepare proposals, quotations and service agreements for clients.
  • Attend client meetings and site visits to promote company services.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to completion
    .
  • Work closely with service, operations and technical teams to ensure client requirements are delivered.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support sales strategy and business growth
    .
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within HVAC, commercial gas or building services
    .
  • Strong lead generation, relationship management and negotiation skills
    .
  • Experience selling maintenance contracts, service packages or installation projects is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
    .
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities and priorities
    .
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    .
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
    .
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus structure of 10–15% of salary
  • £416 per month car allowance
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
