Permanent Secondary Teacher | Business Studies & Economics (Key Stage 4 &
5)

Are you a highly motivated and qualified Secondary Teacher seeking a rewarding,
permanent opportunity? We are looking for an exceptional practitioner to join our successful and forward-thinking secondary school. This full-time,
permanent post is ideal for a dedicated professional ready to take ownership of their own classes and contribute fully to the departmental success within Key Stage 4 (KS4) and Key Stage 5 (KS5).

The Role

The core focus of this position is to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging lessons in Business Studies and Economics
. You will be responsible for a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students, primarily teaching GCSE Business Studies and A-Level Business Studies and/or A-Level Economics
. You will be expected to use formative and summative assessment strategies to effectively guide student learning.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic educator who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a closely related field
    .
  • Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching KS4 Business Studies (GCSE) and KS5 (A-Level) Business Studies and/or Economics
    .
  • Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Is passionate about commercial awareness and economic principles and committed to raising student attainment.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements and A-Level specifications (e.g., AQA, Edexcel).
  • Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
Key Responsibilities

You will take full responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your classes, including planning, preparation, and detailed marking. Other duties include contributing to the development of schemes of work, assessing student progress and providing timely feedback, undertaking a form tutor role, and actively participating in whole-school life and training.
