Fantastic opportunity for an experienced NHS operational leader to step into a pivotal Service Manager role. Drive performance, lead teams, enhance patient experience, and shape high‑quality surgical services across a respected regional healthcare provider. Our client, a respected specialist healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Service Manager to support, enhance, and develop their surgical specialities service.

• Lead the day‑to‑day operational management of surgical specialities
• Deliver against performance, quality, and financial targets
• Line manage administrative teams, ensuring strong HR practice
• Support service planning, business cases, and improvement projects
• Oversee rota management and ensure consistent medical staffing cover
• Build strong internal and external relationships, including ICBs and partner trusts
• Drive improvements in outpatient and inpatient efficiency
• Validate performance data and ensure compliance with national standards
• Contribute to clinical governance, service reviews, and incident investigations
• Produce reports and presentations for clinical and management teams
• Maintain robust communication channels across multi‑disciplinary teams

• Experienced in operational management within a healthcare environment
• Confident in leading teams and driving service improvement
• Strong analytical ability, including advanced Excel skills
• Skilled communicator with excellent presentation capability
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting
• Degree‑educated or equivalent, with ongoing personal development
• Ability to travel to satellite sites
• Comfortable working under pressure with frequent operational demands
