position – union: meter representative cnumber of positions: 1 location: cng – ct – east hartford – meadow st hourly rate range: $40.35 – $47.23

• must be able to read, write and speak english effectively.
• must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• must have a good degree of mechanical aptitude.
• must have a mvd license and a good driving record.
• must be physically able to perform the duties required.

• turn off, remove, reset, change, turn on gas meters and combinations thereof, in accordance with established procedures. This includes the re-lighting of gas appliances and the resetting and/or adjustment of service regulators if necessary.
• inspect gas facilities on customers’ premises for safety and adherence to safety codes.
• assists other field men in related duties.
