What You Will Do:
  • servicing & calibrating M&TE
  • Capability & Suitability testing of M&TE
  • non-conformance investigations

Work activity is 80% bench lab work and 20% desk work.

What You Will Learn:

The Supplier Quality and Process Approval (SQ&PA) calibration team is responsible for Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) calibration for Pratt & Whitney production gages. Timely and accurate calibrations for Dimensional or Electrical Discipline. Perform task prioritizations. Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where some ingenuity and judgment are required.

Interacts with other functional groups (engineering, manufacturing, management) on routine tech.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Education/experience in mathematics/statistics is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standards ISO
    17025.
  • General Competence pertaining to Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
  • ANSI Z540 Requirements for the Calibration of Measuring and Test Equipment.
  • Ability to use Microsoft word, excel, project, and power point.
  • Willingness to cross train in other metrology areas to support periodic requirements.
  • Understanding of Metrology.
  • Perform technical tasks based on written or verbal instructions.
  • Plan and perform calibrations within the specified turn time.
  • Troubleshoot items not meeting requirements.
  • Work within SAP and specified calibration systems to update information on M&TE.
  • Implement and support CORE and the Raytheon CORE culture.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and continuously strive to improve safety.
  • Continue expanding knowledge of Calibration.
  • Willingness to learn Measurement Uncertainty and apply it.
  • Lead customer expectations regarding calibration schedule.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, physical, and electrical properties.
  • Create standard work and operating procedures.
  • Lead process improvement for current procedures and processes.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
