Pratt & Whitney is working to once again transform the future of flight – designing, building and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. In order to drive this transformation, we’re seeking highly motivated professionals to join our Military Engines Program Financial Support (PFS) Organization. This role is a Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Manager located onsite at our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.
WhatYou Will Do
Lead financial planning and analysis for our Military Engines Development Programs. Oversee a team of finance professionals and partner with program leaders to ensure the financial health and success of complex development programs. Drive alignment of financial strategies with program objectives to enable mission success for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals supporting Military Engines Development Programs.
- Drive the development of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring alignment with program goals and company objectives.
- Partner with program management and other functional teams to provide financial insights, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee financial performance reporting, including variance analysis and program status updates for senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with RTX financial policies, government regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations for new and existing programs.
- Continuously improve financial processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a minimum of 10 years of experience; OR an advanced degree in accounting or finance and 7 years of experience.
- 5 years of experience in finance, program management, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as SAP or similar platforms.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, particularly with military engine programs.
- Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, PMO, Engineering, etc.) in proposal development and program execution.
In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. This role is onsite: employees who work in onsite roles will work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance workers who are essential to the development of our engines. Salary range for this role is $124,000 – $250,000 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays, subject to the specific business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement. Additional incentive compensation programs may apply, depending on the level of the position and agreement status.
