This is a 2nd shift position.

• Set up and operate simple machines or equipment; transport parts, raw material and fixtures. Work from operation sheets, drawings, computer-generated information and verbal instructions to machine, fabricate and finish production parts.
• Perform bench assembly and finishing operations using handheld and power tools to process parts during various stages of manufacturing.
• Perform part preparation including grit blast, shot peening, masking and routine oven operations to clean parts or condition surfaces for coatings.
• Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions; record results and enter information into computer data systems as required.
• Perform routine servicing in the assigned area following procedures and written instructions to ensure equipment operates properly.
• Assist others with new equipment or process trials and other specialized assignments within the scope of this job description.
• Refer problems to leader/supervisor as appropriate to resolve difficulties.
• May be assigned tasks not listed, within the scope of the job description to support department objectives and develop skills.
• May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within the assigned area.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 6+ months of work experience with machining methods or equivalent of 1+ year of technical training.
