Position Summary

Surface Treater – 2nd Shift (Onsite) – East Hartford, CT. U.S. citizenship required. Active DoD Confidential security clearance required on day
1. The role involves operating surface treatment equipment for turbine engine parts, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met.

• Set up and operate surface treatments and cleaning equipment for turbine engine parts.
• Perform masking and media finishing operations following prescribed methods.
• Use verbal and written instructions, operational sheets to set up, operate, and adjust equipment.
• Run test pieces and reoperate rejected parts, inspecting visually and with gauges.
• Perform routine servicing, including operator checklists, to keep equipment functioning.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to support department objectives and skill development.
• Obtain and maintain licenses, permits, and certifications required for the assigned area.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Confidential security clearance on day
  1.
• Compliance with FAA safety guidelines; subject to drug and alcohol testing.
• Preference for candidates in the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit (District Lodge 26, Locals 700 and
  1746).
