Field Technician

We are seeking a dedicated entry level Field Technician with a willingness to travel throughout the region, primarily focused on the East Hartford, Connecticut area. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, can pass a drug test, and possesses good communication skills. This role is perfect for individuals who can work independently and are self-motivated to excel in their tasks.

• Perform basic field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures.
• Recommend and identify when troubleshooting tests are required.
• Work independently, making field decisions without direct supervision, and be responsible for obtaining field data to evaluate structures.
• Compile and submit field data for lead staff review.
• Familiarize with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects.
• Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.
• Drive from site to site in a company vehicle.

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as interact with team members, clients, and management staff.
• Willingness to travel as required for the job.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Pass a drug test and MVR check.
• U.S. Citizenship required for government contracts.

• No prior experience required; training and certifications will be provided.
• Interest in corrosion control and cathodic protection.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make decisions in the field.

This position involves working in a field/construction site environment, where the technician will be required to travel to various sites. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
